Podcast Episode 18: Overcoming Heart Disease and Diabetes with Armando Alvarez

With 100% coronary blockage in one artery and 80% in two others, Armando Alvarez was at a high risk for a heart attack and his cardiologist was recommending triple bypass surgery. With reasons we get into during the episode, the surgery didn’t sit well with Armando and through a lot of research and a lot of prayer, he chose another path.

In sharing this story, I want to be clear that neither Armando, nor I are saying that his path is the right choice for everyone. His own plant-based cardiologist said he didn’t know if he would have skipped the triple bypass surgery himself had he been in Armando shoes. But I hope we will take away two things:

One is that we can make choices today to prevent ever being in that difficult situation.

The second is that we can all learn all we can about our various health conditions, follow our own intuition and be in the driver’s seat of our own health to do what feels right for our own individual circumstances.

Please remember that we sharing this information for educational and informational purposes only, and it should not take the place of individualized medical care.
